So if I tell you Typepad featured me today in a blurb about using blogs for social change, and you go look at it, and then follow the links and end up back here, then that would be just plain redundant, wouldn't it?
I'm trying to figure out what to offer next in the Etsy store. I just finished a set of anatomically correct cloth dolls* for Akeeyu (wow, this post is kinda crazy with all the links! Just wait, it's going to get even better). They were totally her idea, and I had so much fun making them that I'm making more of them for Moonpie and Shug. They fit preemie clothes, so if you had a preemie baby you can re-use some of those wee itty adorable outfits your baby wore. Although making them anatomically correct led to me muttering "You know, I'm just not happy with Fitz-Hume's vulva."
And that is just something I never thought I would say.
So, what should I make next? This? Or this? Or this?
* I had to take the picture down because Akeeyu got scared my amazing photographic sewing skillz would lead the internets directly to her door to kidnap her twins. Or her cats. Or Sam. Although I don't think she would protest too much if you took Sam and left her a tray of lasagna in return.

It is SO HARD to find anatomically correct dolls. I bet you could sell a ton of them, especially if you also do boys. (I can't promise to buy one, since I am broke, but I will promise to tell all my friends with children.)

looooong time lurker, maybe posted before? (possibly the last time I saw something Pratchett related on your blog... DoR cracked me up!)
anyways, I agree with the above poster - it's so hard to find good anatomically correct dolls! I think you could take orders for those and they would do well.
if you're feeling ambitious, I've always adored this: http://practicalpolly.blogspot.com/2007/08/wonder-woman-jumper.html
if I get any work, I'll be back to shop.

I'd love an anatomically correct doll, those are gorgeous. Sign me up, assuming you'll ship to the UK. And is it an awful indictment of me as a person to say I loved the DoR, but the fuzzy bunny would be my first choice? I hate that I'm into the cute, but there you go...

Could you make the death glory arm things into gloves or mittens? My teenage daughter would totally love them, she had a thing with long gloves! I would buy them in a minute! Also, think you could make a brown doll? I'd buy one of those for Mea, too!

LOVE the grim reaper! I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

I've always wondered what Fitz-Hume and Milbarge looked like, and now I know. Thanks.

How neat, anatomically correct dolls! And such cute outfits.

Akeeyu's blog is password protected now? Sad.

Does anyone know if Akeeyu's blog will become public again? I really enjoyed her blog. So sad to lose a wonderful blogger.

Is the Buttmansion family okay? It's hard to imagine you outed Akeeyu to the hostile world through your photorealistic plush genitalia, but who knows. Many of us would no doubt be glad to email her with offers of support & lasagne, if this would in fact be welcome....

knitting boggles my mind - but I quilt and people say the same thing to me and I look at them like they're a very slow squirrel a dog is after. So squirrel over here - I loved your prints on ETSY. Do you know what is going on with Akeeyu - it as so sudden.

Can you tell us what happened to Akeeyu? Will she be back? I loved reading her blog. Did someone troll her? Bastards! Let us know and we will fart in their general direction.
